Comments Sixty foot tall granite pyramid commemorating the building of the transcontinental railroad. Originally adjacent Union Pacific tracks which were relocated leaving the monument isolated. The Ames brothers who are commemorated on the monument were disgraced by their participation in the Credit Mobilier scandal.
