Comments Big rig friendly. DMSP had some hiking trails, but you can also drive up to the vistas. Very pretty drive out to the park. Indian Lodge is a neat place just to look around for a while. Big rig friendly. Built by GWP in the depression, and furnishings to suit the setting.
Go sit outside on the upstairs patio, overlooking the pool in the afternoon / evening. If the Barn Swallows are in season they are beautiful, and fly up under the porch roof to perch / nest. It can be very pleasant on the veranda, even if it is near 100 degrees out.
You may want to have one meal at the Restaraunt at DMSP/Indian lodge (try to get a table by the picture window, nice dinner view). and dinner or the other in Ft. Davis at La Cueva De Leon. They have a good buffet on Saturday nights. The Chile Rellenos are good, with a little cinnamon flavor.
